ABOUT ABOUT

Trafalgar Night celebrates Admiral Lord Nelson's victory over the combined French and Spanish fleets during the Napoleonic Wars, on 21 October 1805.  Lord Nelson is widely regarded as one of Britain's greatest war heroes - the poet Lord Byron described him as "Britannia's God of War".  Lord Nelson was killed by a French sharpshooter in the midst of the battle, and today Trafalgar celebrations are also an occasion for remembrance of those who lost their lives on both sides.

Trafalgar Night is a traditional highlight of the Wardroom calendar, and will follow the format of a formal Mess Dinner.  The dinner is open to Mess Members, guests may be placed on a reserve list however Mess Members will take priority should the event book up.  This is not a partner's night.
